The King tells the Crown Prince to use the Band to find the Forge, Korygu's equivalent.
Chancellor Yon is angry that the court is accusing one of his followers for being Korygu's spy and rants to Prince Jinmu. He is in disbelief that he doesn't care much and ignores him. Prince Jinmu asks his bodyguard whether he is a good archer. He smiles when the guard replies that he's the best archer in Paekche and remembers the King's praise.
The girls are ready to catch the bandits. They talk to eat other under the tree while waiting for the bandits to come. Solnan thinks out loud, saying that Kuchon always favored her, always taking her to the village. Solhi knows why Chaehwa always favored Solnan - because she was the King's daughter and she was a mute's daughter. Solhi then fakes that she was taken by bandits by stabbing herself with the hairpin and leaving a ripped piece of her clothing on a branch.
Solnan goes comes back to see that Solhi was missing and goes looking for her. Solnan tumbles and falls down a cliff and screams, Solhi hears this but walks the other way, towards Paekche. She faints before she arrives to the palace. A lady sees her faint and she brings her to her house and calls a doctor. The lady was the Grand Marshal's wife. She hears about the royal drum - she is able to have an audience with the King in return for her life if it wasn't a good enough reason.
The Crown Prince was interviewing a girl who claims to be the King's daughter just as Solhi sounds the drum. Solnan also wakes up.
