The Princess meets Li Min De... and gets friendzoned.
Jun Tao also returns. LWY noticed that JT is wearing a skirt. It seems like JT and Prince GY's bodyguard's relationship is developing further...
Later LWY meets Prince GY. She tells him her concerns about the events that were happening around them - that it was suspicious that they keep falling in dangerous situations. Prince GY tells her not to worry and that she'll help her no matter what. LMD sees their interaction and thinks that LWY seems to be in good hands so he felt like it was okay for him to leave.
Prince GY then meets his mother, the Crown Princess. She asks whether LWY had already left. The Crown Princess states that through this incident, she realizes that LCL was not as good of a person that she had previously thought. She stated that the only good thing about her is that she saved his life. Prince GY was quick to correct her, informing her that it was LWY who had saved him, not LCL. The Crown Princess states that despite that, LWY could only be one of his consorts at most because she is an illegitimate child in order for Prince GY to secure his place as the successor to the throne. Prince GY retorted back, saying that he never wanted to be the King and wanted to move out to the outskirts and live and happy life with no concerns with LWY and the Crown Princess. The Crown Princess worries that the other Princes will put him in danger and Prince GY replied that he'll find a way take care of it. He further sells his idea by saying that LWY and him will soon have lots of babies and that the Crown Princess would be very happy with all the grandchildren.
LMD tells LWY that he was thinking of leaving to explore different places. LWY asks him how long will be gone for and when he will be coming back. He half-jokingly states that he probably won't be returning after he leaves. LWY threatens to find him at all costs, making Prince GY bring the army to search for him if he doesn't come back. LMD later meets the Princess at the palace and she also begs him to stay, expressing her feelings for him. He is still adamant about leaving and when he turns around, LWY's hairpin falls out of his belt. The Princess recognize the hairpin and confronts LMD, asking if he has feelings for LWY. LMD denied this, saying that he just views her as a sister. The Princess cries and runs away after throwing the hairpin at him and says that she hates him. The next day, LMD admits to the Princess that the hairpin was LWY's. He also stated that he did once had feelings for her but now he doesn't. His affection towards her was because she was the closest person to him and that she was able to comfort her through the lost of his mother. LMD state sthat he is happy now that LWY is with Prince GY. He states that he could only be her best friend and not anything more because of their difference in status.
LWY then receives a letter. She shows it to Prince GY and wonders who it was, what they want, and who has the scroll. Prince GY states that she should tell him if anything happens. Afterwards, LWY then teases JT about Prince GY's bodyguard. The Crown Princess then pretends to hurt her leg and asks LWY to carry her back to her room. She then proceeds to ask LWY to massage her foot. LWY then confronts her, saying that she knew that she was pretending because it was strange that she had no servants with her and that no servants were present on their way back. The Crown Princess asked why she still carried her all the way back despite knowing and LWY answered, saying thta it was because she was Prince GY's mother and also the most important person in his life and that she can do even more things to make her happy. She states that her mother wasn't with her when she was little and will start treating the Crown Princess as her mother from now on.
Back at the Li Residence, LCL is sadden by the fact that she no longer in the Crown Princess' favor.
She then goes to talk to her mom and tells her about her situation. She then gets a message from Li Chang Ru. They both meet and LCL is shocked that LCR can betray LCL all of a sudden but decides to go ahead with the plan.
The King has a meal with the Crown Princess and Prince GY. However, in the middle of the meal, the King started having a headache and says that he's getting old.... Later that day, the Crown Princess tells Prince GY that she agrees with him to live for happiness rather than for power.
Back at the Li Residence, LWY gets another letter about the scroll. They told her to go alone to meet them at a designated place. JT wants to go along with her and follow her from afar, but LWY refuses, saying that the person who has the scroll could have easily revealed her identity but they didn't so she trusts them. She ends up making a copy of the map and gives it to JT to give to Prince GY an hour after she leaves in case something happens.
