Solhi is still traumatized by what had happened. To cheer her up. Solnan went to get some sweets. She eats one of them and tries her best to resist the temptation to eat more. She brings the rest to Solhi. Solhi notices that she's almost drooling for more and offers to eat them together.
That night, Solhi asks Solnan whether Chaehwa told her anything before she died. Solnan says that Chaehwa said, "You are Soo Baek Hyang". She misinterprets it as the literal meaning of the name, that she has to always look after Solhi. Solhi thinks she knows the truth.
The next day, one of the Crown Prince's men try to question Solnan to see whether she was the King's daughter but the lady that owns the restaurant tells him that she is her daughter (in order to protect her since she thought he was up to no good and wanted to meet Solnan for other reasons...)
The King prepared shoes and clothes for Chaehwa's daughter and asks the Grand Marshal to deliver them to her. The Grand Marshal gives this to the Crown Prince. During the meeting, the Grand Marshal suggested to him to go with Prince Jinmu to show off their archery skills to the King as he likes to see Prince Jinmu shoot.
They do so and the Crown Prince purposely shoots off to exaggerate the difference between their skills to the King. The King is happy and heavily praises Prince Jinmu. The Prince Jinmu takes in the praise but Chancellor Yon notices this. He then confronts him, saying that he should hate the King, not like him.
Back at the restaurant/hut, Solnan hears more news about the bandits and asks to tag along with the men (traders) that were going in the direction. She leaves Solhi with a momento from Chaehwa - the hairpin. Solhi chases after her and asks to follow along.
