Later, we see that LCL is also taking care of the Prince and doesn't allow LWY to do anything. She then got her maid to drug LWY's food which put her to sleep. When the doctor came in to check up on the Prince along with the Crown Princess, his condition worsens and the doctor asked for LWY. LCL said that LWY got tired and was sleeping. The doctor used acupuncture to wake her up and she once again stabilizes the Prince's condition. Prince GY's condition continues to improve on the next day and now LWY is allowed to fully take care of him.
Outside, the Crown Princess overhears LCL's scheming.
Prince GY finally wakes up. He states that he felt the same presence when someone rescued him when he fell into the pit with the snakes and asked LWY whether she was the person that saved him. She confessed that it was her. She said that the Crown Princess would be very happy to see him awake and then faints. Prince GY rests her head beside him. The Crown Princess sees this and then leaves them alone.
Prince GY went to sleep and when he woke back up, LWY is gone and the Crown Princess is by his beside. He looks for LWY but she was no where to be seen and asks his mother where she is. She told him that she sent her back to the Li Residence to get some rest and that she will be able to visit when she gets better. The Prince asks the doctor whether she was okay and he said that she just needed some rest and she would be fine.
LCR goes to visit Prince Nan An, but sees the belt she made him just lying on the table even though he said that he'll keep it with him at all times. Going back to the Li Residence, she meets LWY. They were talking about Jun Tao and how Prince NA was helping to find her. LWY also mentioned that she gave Prince NA a lucky charm and that he kept it with him. LCR cries, thinking that Prince NA is picking LWY over herself. She then says, "Prince NA is mine, no one else can have him."
She then goes to Prince NA's place and pretends that she wasn't feeling so good and asked to stay in a room for a bit until she recovers. She sent assassins to attack the place and while the guards were preoccupied with them, she snuck into Prince NA's room and got the scroll outlining the betrayal. She later finds out that the assassins where not the ones that she sent and they were actually from General Chiyan Nan.
We then get a flashback to their childhood. We see young LCR crying and meets young Prince NA. She's crying because LC_ was getting all the good things and is always being treated better than her. Prince NA then tells her that she's useless for crying because of that. Even though Prince NA was being beaten, he didn't cry and says that he'll make them all pay when he gets older and encourages LCR to be strong. She remembers him years later by his badge.
She tells this story to LWY but takes out the fact that she knew that Prince NA was the boy that she met when she was young. While smiling very friendly to LWY, she voices to herself that LWY is now her enemy.
