LWY goes to the king to prove her innocence. She said that she accidentally tripped and her hand print was marked on a wall that hasn't dried yet. She stated that she brought proof that the handprint was hers and the time when the wall was made coincided with the death of the Crown Princess. She said it was impossible for her to kill her. She then brought up the fact that there were people who were experts in disguse who are able to change their face into anyone and suggested that that was what had happened. The King said that even though she may not have been the one who killed the Crown Princess, she would not be able to escape without punishment. The King throws out the portrait from Li Chang Ru, revealing LWY's true identity as the Princess of Northern Liang. LWY hesitated, then admitted to her true identity. She said that she didn't have the intention to hide her identity and that someone was actively trying to prevent her from doing so. The King asked who it was, and LWY revealed that it was General Chiyan Nan. She informed the King that he framed her father to be a traitor and said that she had proof with the scroll. The King asked where the scroll was and LWY revealed that Prince Gao Yang had it.
Prince GY is still depressed about the death of his mother. His bodyguard then told him that LWY's jail cell was caught on fire. He showed a hint of being worried and tries to go see what happened. In his way there, he meets Li Min De and he fills him in with the details about LWY's escape and begs him to help her since she had been meeting with the King for a long time. Prince GY is then summoned in front of the King.
Prince GY then gives the scroll to the King. Despite the truth being revealed, the King refuses to punish General Chiyan. He explains that he will always place the people first and made LWY realize that seeking revenge is not going to be beneficial for the people. He did compromise and state that he would forgive the people of Liang and that they will all be considered his people going forward. However, the King also stated that he cannot let her go until they find the true culprit behind the Crown Princess' death. He also prohibited her from being with Prince GY because of her true identity. He also prohibit her from letting anyone else know what they had just discussed.
Prince GY asks her bodyguard to reinvestigate the Crown Princess' death. The bodyguard asks him how he could still believe in LWY when the Crown Princess herself stated that LWY was the killer. The bodyguard refuses and leaves.
LCR wonders what had happen since LWY's identity should be already revealed to the King.
Before leaving, General Chiyan says his goodbyes to the Li Family. He tells them LWY's true identity. On his way, he was attacked by assassins. He then gets chased to a lake and he gets on a boat. The person operating the boat is actually Jun Tao and they get into a fight and end up both falling into the water.
The news is then delivered to the King. LMD then visits LWY to tell her the news about JT. Just then, the king's punishment for LWY is announced - for deceiving him with her fake identity and because her bodyguard killed General Chiyan, LWY would be killed in 3 days. Despite knowing LWY's true identity, LMD states that he will do everything he can to protect her.
LMD then goes to Prince GY and tells him that LWY will be killed in three days and asks him to save LWY. He then goes to the King and asks him to give him a chance to prove LWY's innocence. The King refuses to listen to Prince GY and states that he is the King and whatever he says is the law. LWY's sentence will stay as it is.
Back at the Li Residence, LWY's true identity is revealed to all. LWY's mother continues to stick up for her and the Grandma is also heartbroken by LWY's sentence.
Back in the jail cell, LWY remembers the good times she had with Prince GY. She writes his name on the wooden table. As she does this, Prince GY comes to visit her but doesn't let her know that he was there. She caresses his name and says, "I am going to die soon, but do you still not believe me?"
