Lady Chun makes the Empress realize that she is foregoing all her responsibilities - no one wants to approach her because they didn't want to ruin her mood and she forgot to send one of her maids home (because she became of age to leave the palace). The Empress realizes her neglect has a big impact on many people's lives. The Empress later opens the letter, which gave the Prince an honorary title. The Empress realizes that the Emperor is also saddened by the passing of the Prince and didn't forget. The Empress shows up to the meeting of Consorts and resumes her responsibilities.

Later, Ying Luo tells the Empress that she waited until the Emperor gave his present before giving hers because the Empress would be in a good mood and probably won't get mad. The Empress is impressed with Ying Luo's cleverness and wants to recruit her as a maid.
Although the crisis had been averted, they still needed to find out who stole the peacock thread. It is Ji Xiang's birthday and Ying Luo treats her to a meal. Ling Long tells her that she has a present for her. Ji Xiang goes to the place that she mentioned, only to find the missing thread in a bundle. She is caught red-handed and is executed. Ying Luo swears to get revenge for her.
It is time to make the Emperor a new outfit. Ying Luo and Ling Long are both competing to see who makes the better outfit. They are working day and night to finish the outfit.
