Solhi runs away from Prince Jinmu but leaves her blooded shoe behind. Prince Jinmu orders one of his men to follow her. He did but Solhi manages to notice this. She leads him to the cliff and was able to push him off. He grabs on to her and she uses the hairpin that Solnan gave her and stabbed his hand. He falls off the cliff.
Prince Jinmu retreats as he sees the Crown Prince also in the woods. He wants to play it safe.
Solnan manages to visit a doctor and convinced him to give her some medicine for her mother.
The Crown Prince arrives to see the house burnt down. He suspects that the person who did this might target the King as well so he goes back.
Chaehwa figures that the only way to save her daughters was to reveal the truth to the King. Solhi comes back to the cave, still scared about all that had happened. Chaehwa is now blinded but feels the hairpin in her hands and mistaken her for Solnan. She tells Solhi that Solnan's father was really the King and that her real name is Soo Baek Hyang. She then instructs her to find her hairpin and give it to the King as he will recognize it. She caresses her face and realize that she was talking to Solhi all along. She tells her to get Solnan.
Solnan happily approaches the cave with the medicine.
