Chaehwa is washing clothes again with the other two widows and they share stories of their children. Chaehwa tells them that Solhi always likes flowers and Solnan likes food.
The two sons continue to convince Solnan to go with them. They used chicken as a bribe and it worked. At dinner, they convinced Chaehwa to let them go by thread with the help from a little urge from Kuchon. She warns them again not to stray from their path
like before.
Prince Jinmu is impatient about killing the King. The King meets Chancellor Yon in front of Prince Jinmu's room and thanks him for saving the Prince many times when he was accused of treason. As the King leaves, they are both skeptical of the King's true intentions.
The Crown Prince visits the King and the King gives him some love advice, telling him that if he finds someone he loves, he should do everything to not loose her because once he does, the world would mean nothing. The Grand Marshal is outside and hears this exchange and realizes that the King is still heartbroken and still thinks of Chaehwa.
The two girls prepare to meet the King. Solhi went in Chaehwa's room and finds the pin that the King gave her. Chaehwa sees this and yells at her for taking it. They meet the boys and walk to see the King. There seems to be some feelings between Solnan and Kkomak (the boy dressed in blue).
Chaehwa finds out that the girls went to see the King and goes into the city to find them.
