Prince Nan An’s bodyguard asks him why he isn’t doing anything despite knowing Li Wei Young’s true identity and questions her intentions. He then has a flashback about LWY when they were together hiding from the army and she stated that even though she hates him, she didn’t want something bad to happen to him. He then proceeds to go back and meet with LWY.
Meanwhile, Li Min De is looking for LWY with General Jiao of the Ran Rou Kingdom. He soon realizes that they were keeping something from him - LWY’s location. He sets off on his own to where Prince Gao Yang is as he figures that LWY will go and meet with him if she is indeed safe. General Jiao tries to stop him, telling him that he shouldn’t be concerned about that since he is a Ran Rou prince. He argues back that he was always part of the Li family and leaves on his own.
Meanwhile, LWY is thinking of a way to help out Prince GY and got an idea while seeing some birds nearby. As she is capturing them, she slipped and falls out of a tree. Luckily, Prince NA was there to catch her. Her plan worked, using the birds to set the enemy’s camp in water. Prince NA is impressed with her wits and in a self-monologue, he states that he must have her.
Because the supplies were burned, the enemy retreated. As soon as they did, LWY and Prince NA reunited with each other. At the celebratory dinner, the Generals praise LWY for idea and Prince GY for helping them achieve victory…. And then THIS happens “accidentally”…
Meanwhile, LWY and Prince GY talk to each other…
Prince GY: You should go back.
LWY: No, I don’t want to go back, I want to stay here with you...
Prince GY: It’s dangerous here. Did you forget that you have more important things to do (referring to her revenge)?
LWY: …I was wondering what was more important and realize that when you were hurt, that you are the most important to me…this is your most difficult time and you want me to leave you? I can’t do that… Did you forget that we said we will be together forever?
She then gives him a protective charm that she made to protect him from harm.
The next day, the two princes and the generals discuss the next steps to their plan to fight the enemy. After the meeting, LWY also gives Prince NA a protective charm. When he goes back to his room, he tosses the charm but then retrieves it back and rhetorically wonders whether it will actually work.
Later that day, LWY says goodbye to Prince GY as he takes off with the army. She wanted to follow along but he convinced her to stay, and that believes that he will be safe since he has the protective charm. As soon as the army and two Princes take off, Prince GY is shot and pleads Prince NA to continue their plan.

News travelled to the King about Prince GY’s achievements and he praises the Crown Princess. At the same time, Prince NA returns victorious while Prince GY is in bed recovering. LWY states that she will go back to the palace with Prince GY. On the way there, assassins (hired by General Chiyan Nan) attacked the horse carriage. Luckily, they were using it as a diversion and Prince GY and LWY were not there. While running away from them, LWY’s maid met Li Min De.
Meanwhile, Prince GY and LWY hides near a cave. Prince GY seems to be really weak. LWY states that it’s her turn to protect him and hides him in the mountains. They soon meet up with Li Min De. Before the assassins made their next move, Prince NA’s bodyguard stops them and escorts them back to the palace.
As they arrive, the Crown Princess separated LWY from Prince GY so she returned home to meet Li Chang Ru. LWY fills her in with what happened and told her that she was very grateful for Prince NA, who saved her life. LCR’s maid caught up with Prince NA’s bodyguard to ask whether Prince NA had any letters or messages to be given to LCR. He didn’t. The rest of the Li Family welcomed LWY back with open arms.
