Prince NA uses LWY’s family to blackmail her to lie about the King’s last words. He wants her to tell everyone that the King decided to crown her as the next King. The Grandmother, not wanting to be a burden to LWY runs and hits her head against the wall, proclaiming that Prince NA can’t use them to threaten LWY and tells LWY to ignore them and do what she needs to do. LWY wasn’t able to stand it any longer and promises Prince NA that she’ll do what he says in the condition that he lets her family free.
The Princess is brought to where Jun Tao was staying to be healed of her injuries. The Princess tells LMD that he could marry any other woman since she is dying. LMD refuses and says that he will marry her. LMD kisses her on the forehead and the Princess states, “that’s the fifth kiss.” The Princess then spits outs blood and passes out.
Prince GY is captured and is being tortured in a dungeon. Prince NA goes to him and tells him that the King was killed. The Prince GY immediately states that it is his fault, but he denies killing the King. Prince GY states that he will never let him get away from it and neither will the heavens. Prince NA tells him that the only person who knows the King’s last words was LWY and that she agreed to help him become the next King. He then tells him that he plans to make LWY the Queen once he becomes the King.
Prince NA then walks to the throne while his guards surround the advisors. The King’s advisors ask Prince NA why he imprisoned Prince GY. He brings in LCL who confesses that Prince GY was conspiring with the Rouran to destroy the kingdom an brings forth evidence to the advisors. LWY then reluctantly state that the former King decided to name Prince NA as the next King before he passed. the advisors first were skeptical about it but LWY convinced them otherwise. Everyone then bows in front of Prince NA and addresses him as the King.
Back at his quarters, Prince NA asks LWY whether she is still thinking of Prince GY and tries to convince her that he is better for her and can do things better than Prince GY. She counters saying that he would never be able to do that since he already threatened her with her family and killed his own father. Prince NA then brings in her family. They tell her that Prince GY was framed of conspiring with the Rouran.
LWY then meets Prince NA again to confront him about the news she learned. She threatens that she would reveal everything that he has done, but he counters, saying that no one would believe in her. As she leaves, LCL comes and asks for a favour from Prince NA.
LWY then meets up with her family again. Before they part, she slips a note to her mother. She then passes the note to the Grandma. While they were doing a body search on them, hides the note in her hand and disguises it by coughing.
Meanwhile, LMD is proclaiming his love to an unconscious Princess. He states that he was secretly very happy to find out that she was a girl but didn’t know how to deal with his feelings. He tells her that he loves him and wishes that she wakes up. Just then, we see a tear roll off her cheek.
Li Chang Xi then meets with Jun Tao and gives her a note from LWY.
LCL visits Prince GY and rips off his blindfold. Prince GY confronts her about betraying him but LCL blames him for what happened. She then orders the servants to torture him. LWY then comes and sees this and tries to stop it from happening. She was unsuccessful and asks Prince NA why he had to do that when he is already the King. Prince NA then uses Prince GY to threaten LWY to marry him. She makes a deal with him, stating that she would only marry him under three conditions: (1) if he states the innocence of her father, (2) he stops harming her family, and (3) that he sets Prince GY free.
LWY then meets Prince GY and gives him water. She is worried about him and asks how he is doing. Prince GY’s face brightens up as soon as he sees her and states he is fine now that he sees her. He then questions whether Prince NA did anything to her. She tells him that she was going to marry Prince NA.
Prince GY: “You shouldn’t give up.”
LWY: “But I’m tired, I can’t do it anymore… he’s using my family and your life to threaten me and I can’t do it anymore. Why can’t you let me go? Why are we so selfish? Do you want me to watch everyone die? As long as I let you go, everything will be fine.”
Prince GY: “You can’t…”
LWY: “Prince NA already promises to give my dad his innocence, the one thing that I wanted the most.”
Prince GY: "Did you forget our past memories? Do you not remember?"
LWY: "What if I remember? You are in this dungeon but he is the King… what can you give me?"
She then takes the rock from his necklace and throws it on the ground and it breaks in half. She then tells him that over time, she did fall in love with Prince NA. Prince GY doesn’t believe this and states that she is lying. Prince NA hears the whole encounter and walks off.
LCL then visits Prince GY and is pleased that he is experiencing the same pain that she went through when she went through heartbreak because of him. She then continues to slap him as she talks to him. She then gives him wine and he refuses. She then proceeds to pour the whole bottle over his head. Just then, she orders the guards to torture him.
