Li Wei Young's maid interrupts LWY as she is washing clothes. Prince NA assigned her to work in the same area as LWY so that she has someone to lean on. Her maid now knows her true identity but she says her identity doesn't matter and that LWY is always going to be LWY to her.
In the court, the three princes are arguing to get the King's favor. Prince Nan An and Prince Dong Ping are fighting to lead the army while Prince Gao Yang suggests not to go to war at all. The King dismissed the court without deciding.
Prince GY goes and pay respect to his mother again. He peels a tangerine and offers it to her. He then remembers the box that Li Chang Le's maid knocked over. He goes and find her and sees her crying over her mother's death. He puts a hand on her shoulders to comfort her. Prince GY's bodyguard interrupts the couple and pulls the Prince aside. He has some new leads for the investigation of the Crown Princess' death. LCL follows them and overhears that Prince GY is trying to prove LWY's innocence.
Li Chang Ru and Prince NA does some more planning...
LWY's maid tells LWY that LCL's mother passed away. LWY confides in her maid, telling her that she thinks LCL killed the Crown Princess and that she was cooperating from someone that is close to her. Just then, LCR comes to visit her. She puts up her innocent act and gives her some money, clothes that she made, and lotion. LCR probes and asks LWY if she knew anyone who witness that she was somewhere else when the Crown Princess died.
Prince NA's bodyguard tells Prince NA that he found a witness for LWY. Prince NA states that if Prince GY finds out that there is a witness, he would keep investigating until he figures out who killed his mother. He seems to have other plans.
While Prince GY's bodyguard is looking for the witness, he sees someone that looks like Jun Tao and runs to her. Unfortunately, he had mistaken someone else for her. He states that there is still a lot of things he needs to tell her...
A witness was brought to Prince GY. He found out that the supposed witness was lying to him. When he questioned him further, the witness states that someone paid him to say that he saw LWY. Prince GY gets angry, thinking that LWY set this all up. LCL hears this exchange.
Later that day, the witness was shot by an assassin. The witness was probably a stand-in as he survived the attack. Prince GY's bodyguard follows the assassins and sees that he went to Prince NA's residence.
We see in a flashback that Prince GY asked the Crown Princess' maid whether she showed LCL the jewelry in the box. LCL recognized the contents in the box but it was something that the Crown Princess seldom touch or use. The maid says that the Crown Princess never showed it to LCL and that she only took it out that day to give to LWY. Prince GY suspects that someone else was behimd his mother's death other than LCL. Because the assassin went to Prince NA's residence, Prince GY thinks that he cooperated with LCL. He states that he will get revenge for his mother and for LWY.
LWY holds the rock that she split with Prince GY. Prince NA joins her and asks her why she still can't let go of him when he already married. He tries to convince her to stop thinking about him and that he probably already forgot about her.
LCL meets LWY in the palace. She makes her kneel in front of her and scrub her shoes.
LCR watches from the side and tells her maid to inform Prince GY.
LCL was about to slap LWY but she grabs her hand to stop her, warning her not to go overboard. At this time, Prince GY arrives and protects LCL, giving LWY 50 beatings.
As she was receiving them, Prince GY acts all lovely-dovey with LCL. This breaks LWY's heart even more as she receives the beatings. Luckily, the Princess came to interfere and put a stop on the beatings.
LWY is recovering from the beatings and reminiscing about all the good times she spent with Prince GY.
Prince GY is also taking it hard on himself, saying that LWY would never forgive him and that he won't be able to forgive himself either. His bodyguard comforts him, saying that he is doing all this for LWY and to protect her.
